When I work with home buyers, I often bring up the subject of Universal Design – i.e. what features should their home have that will allow them to live there comfortably and safely for a long time – and accommodate their lifestyle as they age? And, beyond that, what features does the home have that will attract the next homeowners when it’s time to sell?
I am continually learning more about Universal Design, and how the features can also nourish our body, mind, and soul while living in a healthy home. There are lots of great resources available – I found this article from Ai-Media to be full of good information on how and why to consider expanding the concepts in Universal Design into our everyday living.
