Komo News recently posted a reminder on Facebook for Fall’s Daylight Savings Time, a reminder that winter is just around the corner. As the cold season approaches we close up our homes, shut the windows, make sure the doors are sealed, and we hunker inside for the winter season. We are trapped inside where the air quality indoors is usually worse, we have poor ventilation and increased carbon dioxide levels.
It is important to allow fresh, quality air within your home and to properly ventilate during the winter. Open your house at least once a day, even for a few minutes to let the old, damp air out and fresh air in. And, it may be cold but keep a window in your bedroom slightly open at night. The fresh air circulating in your bedroom will be more comfortable and help your sleep.

You can read more about improving indoor air quality on the EPA website.
As Komo News reminded us, it’s almost time to set our clocks back. But instead of hunkering down for the winter and isolating yourself indoors, open the windows for a few minutes each day and let your house, and you, breathe fresh air.
