Why is this so challenging for me? Writing about plastic is tricky for me as it is everywhere, and I am constantly making choices that I would like to say lessen the impact plastic has on my environment and yours.
With that in mind, I am taking this deep dive to share thoughts on our opportunities to lessen the amount of plastic in our holiday gift giving and overall shopping.
Old habits die hard, especially when the holiday season tends to encourage letting go and indulging. Time for change and the time is now, so I am going to look at this as a time to start new traditions that support the environment I choose to live in and share with others.
Gifts: (and how do I approach this with conscious minimizing of plastic.)
Gift Wrapping
Packaging
Toys
Holidays are emotional and busy times, and it can be easier for me to follow the path of least resistance. However, I resolve to clean up my act in the New Year!
I am choosing to continually become aware of my choices and reduce the amount of plastic I have in my life this holiday season.
I look forward to your joining me in reducing the amount of plastic in your holiday season. Make some changes now, and you can have a reduced-plastic holiday with the same amount of style and fun!
? Here’s to a less-plastic holiday season in Your Healthy Home with Wellness! ?
